My Mind Aloud #7
The straight bangs and blue eyes seem to be the big thing now in what’s sexy. Why is everyone turned on by quirky girls now?
I knew I had a chance.

No one can prove anything.
No one can stop me, but why would they?
Why would they if I’m happy, right?
Besides, my nails and hair match my bowl so perfectly anyways.
Might as well design keratin that would modify your pigments to green.
So lets please stop, relax, and allow something to avert our gaze.
I’ll more than likely cause lip muscles to jerk upward from laughter from the best thing.
No one can prove anything, anyways.
No one can stop me, us, or tell us no.
As long as we’re happy, they’ll stay out of our hair, right? I mean, we are happy…
Easy Way Out by Gotye
Through all the publicity of Somebody I used To Know, I felt it was right to suggest another one of his tracks. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a brilliant track and Kimbra was wonderful accompaniment both during live performances and in the music video, but I feel Easy Way Out deserves some acknowledgment as well. Wouter “Wally” De Backe, or better known as Gotye, uses a huge assortment of instruments to construct these unique vibes that sends a refreshing rush through our ears. Thought-provoking and overall human processes that are more tangible and realistic than expecting booty at the club.
This song actually makes me feel a bit better… a lot better than I do right now.

I can’t afford my private college anymore & I’m a 1st year. I’ve spent money for essentially nothing but to meet people I’ve grown to love.
I’m sorry, but I didn’t need more friends…
Oh God, how they’re amazing though.

This is a little book that came with Slumber Party Barbie in 1965. It also came with a scale that was permanently set to 110lbs. Slumber Party Ken came with milk and cookies.
Parents today think this losing weight/skinny phenomenon amongst girls is a recent “trend” due to media and technology today, but we can look back to their childhood and find that society then is the same as society now: wanting every girl to be doll-like and skinny.
